  26. This is the interesting aspect, Occam's Razor.  The UFO debunkers think 
  27. they understand Occam's Razor, but in reality, they haven't a clue as to 
  28. what the heuristic means.  It really means that when several 
  29. hypotheses can adequately explain a body of data, the simplest 
  30. hypothesis which invokes the fewest implicit premises should be 
  31. tested first before moving down the hierarchy of complexity.  But the 
  32. skeptopaths misapply Occam's Razor by butchering and mutilating the 
  33. observations and dismissing the internal inconsistencies, only because 
  34. they're hellbent on preserving the "mundane explanation" which they feel 
  35. *MUST* be the right one.  But Occam's Razor has never suggested altering 
  36. the observed data and dismissing nonconforming evidence in order to 
  37. preserve the hypothesis that invokes the smallest number of 
  38. unsubstantiated premises.
